Description:
While you may expect this sparkler to be more full-bodied coming from the cru of Cartizze – possibly the best site for the Glera grape – the beauty of this wine is its elegance. The nose is at once citrus, fruity and floral: mandarin, ruby red grapefruit and lemon curd marry with white flowers and acacia that jump from the glass. The length of the wine is incredible.
Winery:
For over 90 years, Adami has produced only Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG and Prosecco DOC Treviso in its various types and expressions, both traditional and more modern, linked to the diversity of each single hill. In 1933, Abele Adami presented the first single vineyard in Valdobbiadene’s history, ‘Riva Giardino Asciutto’. Today, Vigneto Giardino is still made as a single vintage, single vineyard wine, and represents the benchmark for Prosecco.
Wine Making:
Light pressing with bladder presses, settling of must, fermentation at controlled temperatures (17-19°C) with cultured yeasts. Contact with fine lees in stainless steel for three months. Second fermentation through "Metodo Italiano", in steel pressure tanks. Second fermentation temperature 15-17°C. Cold tartrate stabilization (-4°C). Tight filtration before bottling to remove spent yeast from the sparkling wine.
