Description:
A lively, medium-bodied red, with bright and brambly black raspberry and boysenberry fruit and orange zest and ground white pepper notes. Lightly chewy on the herb-laced finish. Frappato and Nero d'Avola.
Winery:
Arianna Occhipinti began making wines in her home area of Vittoria, Sicily in her early 20s. She decided her style would be one of finesse and elegance and perfume over power. Today, her vine holdings are 22 hectares of Nero d’Avola and Frappato, and a hectare and a half of white grapes Albanello and Zibbibo. Arianna Occhipinti has become a seminal figure for a new generation of wine lovers.
Wine Making:
the grapes undergo a meticulous selection before a simple and natural vinification. The grapes ferment by means of native yeasts, and subsequent production procedures result in low intervention by keeping to simple and traditional processes.
