Description:
"The 2011 Chianti Classico Riserva is powerful and dense, with all of the natural richness of the year very much on display. Macerated cherry, leather, spice and tobacco fill out the wine frame nicely. There is lovely depth to the 2011, but I also get the impression it will drink well relatively early for a Castellin Villa wine." - Antonio Galloni

"Castell’in Villa is one of the most historic estates in Chianti Classico.” – Antonio Galloni. Princess Coralia Pignatelli della Leonessa and her husband acquired the property in 1968. The estate is known for producing some of the most traditionally-crafted and age-worthy wines in Italy. It also releases stocks progressively into the market, once deemed ready to drink. This practice allows consumers to drink great wines, with a certain level of maturity.
