The Faugères property lies within 2 appellations - Saint-Émilion (Château Faugères) and Côtes de Castillon, the latter is named Château Cap de Faugères. A notable 31 hectares in size, Cap de Faugères is owned by Silvio Denz, a Swiss entrepreneur who bought the property in 2005 and has since invested heavily in it, despite already having a good reputation in terms of wine quality. The vineyards are planted with 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Robert Parker has referred to their wines as "always one of the top Côtes de Castillons".
