Since 1340, 19 generations one after another, have managed the Monfalletto property in the town of La Morra, the center of the production of Barolo wine. Even today, the property is entirely family-run. Over the course of the last 50 years, Paolo Cordero di Montezemolo and then his son Giovanni, have expanded the grape vine cultivation for wine production for the Winery. Currently, the total vineyard area of grape production for all Cordero di Montezemolo wines is 38 hectares.
Wine Making:
Selected blend of the Monfalletto Estate vineyards, harvested and vinified separately. 4-5 day maceration and 10-12 to complete fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Drawn off into different sizes of wood barrels where malolactic fermentation takes place.
