Soft fruit on the nose, blackberries, black cherries with hints of jam
Also minerality.
A very onctuous mouth with a sensation of fullness and sucrosity.
Round, soft tannins. One finds liquorice and vanilla hints of vanilla.
It’s a soft wine, without no agressivity, easy and generous.

Since 1983, an Englishman, Nick Thompson has been running this property alongside with his wife Sabine. Cairanne, a little village situated in the east of the Rhone river, between Orange and Vaison-la-Romaine, has developed a reputation for quality wine production since the Middle-Age - it is here that the Ameillaud vineyard is established.
