Winery:
Domaine du Tariquet
Tucked into the village of Eauze, in Gascony, Domaine du Tariquet has cultivated a reputation for excellence since 1912 and remains the largest family-owned white wine estate in one appellation in France. In the early 1980s, Yves Grassa revolutionized both the family estate and winemaking in the region when he planted non-traditional varieties Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc alongside classic Armagnac grapes. The Grassa family prides itself on its revolutionary approach while holding a deep respect for nature’s influence. Yves’ sons, Armin and Remy, are the third generation of the Grassa family to lead Domaine du Tariquet. The brothers share winemaking duties equally, working as partners in the cellar.
