Description:
aromas of ripe cherries, candied peel, baking chocolate and toasty new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a deep core of cool and concentrated fruit, fine framing tannins and a long, pure finish. A definite success, it will reward bottle age.
Winery:
Domaine Serafin Pere Et Fils
Like so many of the best producers in Burgundy, the key to Sérafin’s successes are old vines and low yields. Christian has taken painstaking efforts in the vineyard: Strict pruning, de-budding, green harvest, deleafing, yield restriction, triage and destemming of the fruit. The wines are not filtered and with an increase in new oak, these reds are rich, concentrated and age well.
