One of the most elegant and delicately scented white wines in the world grows in this very steep vineyard. The stony, shallow, blue slate soil gives the wine a delicate, fresh acidity and a unique elegance.
The wines of the Wehlener Sonnenuhr are the most charming of our winery in their youth and captivate with the scent of white peach and green apple.
Auslese are top wines made from fully ripe (50%), partly noble rotten (50%), selected grapes. Selected, highly ripe grapes harvested late produce very long-lasting, concentrated wines bursting with fruit and minerality. A minimum maturity is required by law for each quality level, which we always exceed because we want to produce the best possible wines.
