Description:
In 2016, Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège celebrates its mastery through the unique – and multi-layered – vision of the Milan based art and design duo Carnovsky who pioneered the RGB process by creating, enhancing and replicating historical images using the digital world’s three primary colours: red, green and blue. Although the three coloured-layers of Carnovksy's unique design coexist harmoniously, when viewed through a coloured filter each of them reveals a facet of V.S.O.P Privilège: Red is Energy, Green is Nature and Blue is Dream. The hollow bouquet emits only fey scents of vines and green vegetation. The palate entry is very sweet, nearly syrupy; the midpalate is the best phase as rounded flavors of dark toffee, nougat, and maple work nicely together. Finishes sweet, sap-like, and acceptably woody.
Winery:
The Hennessy cognac distillery was founded by Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer serving in the army of Louis XV.The Prince of Wales, later King George IV of Great Britain, was a great connoisseur of cognac. He asked Hennessy to create a "very superior old pale cognac." Since then the initials V.S.O.P - Very Superior Old Pale - have been used as a benchmark for the entire industry. Gerald de Geoffre de Chabrignac, Richard Hennessy's nephew, created the now distinctive X.O flacon design.nspired by the cognac Hennessy created for Czar Alexander I in 1818, Master Blender Yann Fillioux created Paradis Imperial. This cognac features a large proportion of eaux de vie from the Maison's 19th century reserve, creating a cognac of exceptional elegance, finesse and stature.
