Description:
The colour is straw yellow with greenish hues. The bouquet is intense, refined and persistent with notes of yellow flowers, minerality, with underlying scents of almonds. The taste is dry and smooth, elegant and gentle with a refreshing acidity and a velvety finish of quince and almonds.
Winery:
La Staffa, situated in the zone of the Verdicchio dei Castelli de Jesi, is an organic winery which produces hand-crafted wines savouring strongly of the local land. On the rolling hills of Staffolo (Ancona), in the north of the Marche region, Riccardo Baldi tends twelve hectares of predominately Verdicchio vineyards with passion and absolute dedication.
Wine Making:
The grapes are picked by hand, pressed and fermented in concrete tanks at controlled temperatures for 20 days. The wine is refined in concrete tanks for 1 year until it is bottled. It is then further refined in the bottle for 12 months before it is released.
