The authentic soul of Chianti Classico Lamole di Lamole can look back on more than 500 years of history, and since the 15th century it has been the cellar of the most important local fortresses. More recently, the area has risen to prominence thanks to the two Sangiovese clones native to Lamole responsible for the wines’ distinct territorial character. Lamole di Lamole’s uniqueness lies in the fact that the vineyards are located in one of the highest parts of Chianti Classico, which enables them to bring the grapes to optimal ripeness while imbuing their aromatic potential with special elegance, richness and persistence.
Wine Making:
Temperature-controlled fermentation (at 26° C; 79° F) lasts for around 16 days, with pumping over in an open vat during the initial phase; the malolactic fermentation takes place immediately after the alcoholic one. This is followed by a year’s maturation in traditional 70-100 hl oak casks and around six months in bottle before release.

Food Pairings:
It is ideal with the traditional dishes of Tuscan cuisine, especially barbecued red meats or pork drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.
