Description:
Lightly mouthwatering and finely knit, this supple, medium- to full-bodied version offers flavors of sun-dried cherry and strawberry fruit, violet and spice, with accents of fresh, loamy earth and grilled rosemary. Creamy tannins firm the lingering finish.
Winery:
The Librandi winery works with 230 hectares of vineyards around the Ciro’s region on the south coast of Calabria. It is the biggest and the most famous winery of the region. Although the company was founded in 1950, the family has been working with wine for centuries, steeped in a love of tradition. The Librandi brothers also work closely with consultants and academics studying local varieties, clones and vineyard density.
Wine Making:
Fermentation in thermo-conditioned stainless steel, with a 15 days maceration. Aging in wood, with 12 months in Allier oak barriques and an additional bottle aging of 6 months.
