Winery:
Lisini is one of Montalcino’s oldest wine estates. The Clementi family fought alongside the Medicis in their conquest of Montalcino, as well as buying another propriety in Sant’Angelo in Colle. The ‘Casanova’ estate at Sant’Angelo in Colle, to give it its correct name, covers 154 hectares, of which 20 are planted with the 21inea t approx. 350msl on 2-million years old Eocene sandy, clay and silt soils with a significant percentage of iron.
Wine Making:
20 to 26 days vinification and maceration in stainless steel, 48 month ageing in large oak barrels, 6-8 months in bottle before release.
Food Pairings:
It pairs with fine and tasty dishes of red meat and wild game, such as wild boar, guinea-fowl or salmì pheasant.
