Description:
Youthful-looking dark crimson. There’s a lot more fruit here than in most 1970 bordeaux! This is a good, well-made red wine, halfway between Rioja and Bordeaux (though much fruitier than Madiran). Slightly spooky for its lack of geographical ties but a very good drink that anyone would like. At this stage they didn’t have cellar or vineyards! Jancis Robinson
Winery:
Marques de Caceres
Founded in 1970, this family-owned winery Marques de Caceres chose to move away from the traditional oaky style Rjojas to produce wines with rich concentration and intense fruit and aromas. The Bodega's philosophy is based on limiting production to a point where maximum quality can be perfectly achieved. Present in more than 120 countries, Marques de Caceres is unanimously and internationally recognised for its consistency in quality and excellent value for money wines in each of their own category. It is the leading Spanish wine brand in Europe and America.
