The location of the vineyard in the district of Nieva dates back to the 12th century when the commercialization of its wines began with the rise of the Monastery of the Carthusians, reaching the peak of grape production in the 19th century. Our wines are framed in the high range of Rueda Denomination of Origin wines and are made exclusively with the two grape varieties of the highest quality accepted by the denomination, Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc. Bodegas y Viñedos Nieva, located near the city of Segovia, has a unique terroir that produces wines of exceptional quality, complex, fresh and elegant. The winery was born as a project with which to revive the wine tradition that existed in the town and the district of Nieva. The DO Rueda covers part of the provinces of Valladolid, Segovia and Ávila, having in all of them the conditions and natural means suitable for the production of targets. You could say that it is the Spanish region of white wine par excellence, in fact the international recognition that has acquired over the years is very broad. The autochthonous grape of the DO Rueda is the Verdejo, occupying most of the vineyard's surface, although the Sauvignon Blanc, Viura and Palomino Fino varieties are also allowed. In 2009 Martúe and his team disembark in this winery, finishing its expansion process, to produce DO Rueda white wines maintaining the Martúe philosophy: small productions of top quality wines at the best price.
