Mommessin has its origins near Macon, in Southern Burgundy, at Grange-Saint-Pierre, on the site of the Cluny Abbey. Mommessin developed much of its acclaim in Beaujolas, soon becoming one of the jewels in the region's crown. Mommessin's wines derive their unique character from this dual lineage, an encounter between Burgundian vinification and the bursting flavours of Beaujolais.
