Sherwood Estate has been producing exceptional wines from the Waipara Valley vineyards in North Canterbury since 1987. In its 30-year history it has grown from a "one-man-band" to a multi-million dollar player in the New Zealand wine industry. It is now one of the largest independent, family owned wineries in New Zealand. Jill and Dayne Sherwood still proudly manage all aspects of production. At Sherwood Estate they grow, harvest, make, bottle, distribute, market and sell the wines throughout New Zealand, Australia and internationally. This process of bringing personal involvement to all aspects of the business - makes it relatively unique in the New Zealand wine industry. Much has changed in its 30-year history but the philosophies and values remain the same. Through dedication and hard work, the Sherwood Estate team has earned themselves the reputation of winemakers with the personal touch and is fully accredited with being one of the sustainable winegrowers.
