Description:
Terroir Haute-Vallée is from one of the coolest areas of Limoux, situated at high elevation. Here, Chardonnay produces an AOC Limoux still white wine with minerality and ageing potential. Classic barrel-fermented Chardonnay. Pineapple notes on the nose. A bit old fashioned. Good acidity and a certain raciness. Very clean and certainly not too oaky. Well done! Rich nose of vanilla oak backed by linden, honeysuckle and almond. Full-bodied palate, nicely balanced between fruit and ageing fragrances. Hint of exuberance underscoring its youthfulness.
Winery:
Sieur D'Arques
Considered as a pioneer of Languedoc Roussillon in terms of quality of production and wine-growing techniques, Sieur d’Arques was one of the first wineries in the eighties to develop plot-based selection in its 2800 hectares of AOC vineyard. Their terroir which benefits from the Mediterranean sun, tempered by their proximity to the Pyrenees and the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, combines the ideal conditions for producing great wines.
