The Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes wine is intensively aromatic, evoking blackberries and other small red and black fruits. A well built wine, combining blending tannins with abundant mellowness.
Born in Santenay, the 11th generation winemaker Vincent Girardin, is part of a winemaking family whose origins date back to the 17th century. Although Vincent’s concentration has centered mainly on the lesser-known appellations of the Côte de Beaune, he has recently added a stunning array of premier cru and grand cru wines from some of the most prestigious appellations in Burgundy. In doing so he respects the most important element of Burgundy, the individuality of the terroirs.
