Description:
A deep dark ruby and purple colour promises body and power on this wine. The aromas of fresh earth, minerals, black cherry and mocha certainly deliver all the traits of a wine that is dominated by clean, linear fruit and a hedonistic mouthful of soft juicy tannins. The flesh and weight of the wine make it voluptuous and abundant with a long, round and lush finish.
Winery:
Warwick
Built in 1791 under the name ‘Good Success’, the estate was re-named to ‘Warwick’ by Colonel Gordon in 1902 as a tribute to his regiment. Since 1964 Stan & Norma Ratcliff are its proud owners and the first to plant quality grapes for winemaking. It was Norma who, after the first attempts, was so impressed that she went to Bordeaux to study winemaking techniques. The very first Cabernet Sauvignon was released in 1984, which remains the flagship of the estate even today. At Warwick, each wine tells a story from the family’s or estate’s history. In addition to the Cabernet Sauvignon, which is also used for the ‘Trilogy’ series, the Sauvignon Blanc is highly praised for its impeccable value and quality and a favorite of many who have tried it.
