The history of Penglai continues to keep the simple philosophy of "making good sake". Kyoho 17 (1732) The first generation Hisayonemon opened, and began making sake from the Meiji 3 year. From the passage of the song "Tsurugame", the brand name "Horai" was born because of the drop of the gem in the party that loves drinking. Visited Meiji, Taisho, Showa and nationwide farmlands throughout the country, striving to acquire sake brewing techniques, spared no efforts of brewing sake, won numerous competitive events.蓬莱の歴史は「良い酒を造れ」という簡素な理念を守り続ける歴史。 享保17年（1732）初代久右衛門が創業し、明治３年から酒造りを始める。謡曲「鶴亀」の一節より、酒を愛でる宴で珠玉の雫によったことから「蓬莱」という銘柄がうまれた。明治・大正・昭和と全国の名醸地を訪れ酒造技術の習得に努め、美酒醸造の努力を惜しまず、数々の品評会で優勝。
